Hmmmm…Will This Work?

How many times do you start a project and realize you have the incorrect equipment to complete the job or project properly?

At the the moment of realization, do you keep trudging along our do you stop and assess the changes needed?

My hope is we stop and assess so that “…all things should be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40)

Even before that, I strongly suggest we start our projects, or the work ahead of us, with prayer to “commit our work to the Lord” ,so, our “plans will be established”. (Proverbs 16:3)

And, thus, with our prayer before the Lord, our hearts will be set in the right frame of mind so that “whatever we do, we will work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men”. (Colossians 3:23)

There is a progression in all we do with the starting point being the Lord. “Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.” (Psalm 102:25)

It is so cool to think of God creating! It inspires/encourages/illustrates to me that I must put my full effort into my work and my projects because He created ME, His masterpiece. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well”. (Psalm 139:14)

From the beginning, “the Lord God took man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it”. (Genesis 2:15)

Now, I don’t know what work you do or what projects you are working on, but take a moment to pray about them. Adjust what needs adjusting, and thank the Lord for giving you the sense to do just that. “I desire then that in every place the men should pray…” (1 Timothy 2:8)

So, today, “whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

May your work be fruitful, Sarah Marie:)
