Gage Had A Birthday…

23 Aug

Gage is now in the double digits! The big 1-0!! 🙂  I have more pics of his birthday on my phone which I do have a cord to upload/download them, but I have not figured out yet (basically just have it tried it:))….but here’s a smattering…

Walking into Craig's Cruiser's (way cleaner than I ever thought an arcade place could be:) Better than any arcade, go-kart place, putt-putt, place I would say for sure.

The cake! 🙂 It has like fossil dinosaurs on was pretty cool.

The boys dug into their goodie bags:)

If you have boys from the age of like 3 years to at least 10 years (and if you you're a big kid like me inside:) then just buy these guys for goodie bags. The boys had so much fun seeing them race down the walls...they were fun (just don't throw on ceiling - LOL:D

Gage loved each and every one of his presents and is very thankful for each was really just too nice...I mean that!

I love Gage's face:) The joy of being a kid and happy!

It's true...the older kids get they start wanting to save for more expensive toys:) At least he's learning to save which is more valuable than he even gets right now! These were cool $2 bills...I think he'll be saving those because they're different:)

Then it was off to the buffet before we got to...

...the GAMES...:)

...and the RIDES! 🙂

I think the go-karts, bumper boats, rope course, and laser tag were big hits:)

All getting ready to shot I could get of most people in row at once. I guess more of the adults I should say:)

Kris can hold her own:)

Garret and Steve did the inside bumper cars...little blurry...I didn't have the right setting. It was funny last night some of us girls got together and one of them said "Hey, nowadays you can't take a bad shot with cameras they make today"...that is truly not a true statement when it comes to me (hehe)...I can take bad ones!

Ok…Garret wants to show me something on a movie he is watching…more pics in the next couple of days (probably) 🙂

More Summer Fun…

9 Aug
…here’s a peak at some more summer fun…

Bruno loves the water more than any dog I know...Gage loves the water just as much:), but maybe not quite as much as Garret loves it! Gage is taking a mud bath...I think you can pay like a thousand dollars at one of those fancy spas for one of those:) Just go to one of your local lakes - LOL:D

Such a lovely, awesome picture of Steve and Garret this past Friday:) Father and son:) They love each other so very much!

Steve teaching Gage how to shoot a rubberband...those two love working together...they also love each other so very's very sweet to see them work together and get from Point A to Point B on a project.

This is at Brann's for dinner this past Sunday night:) There was a wonderful breeze on the was a great dinner! their Alaskan crab dip!!!

Steve &'em:)

Garret takin' a ride:) Love this pic!

Now this is one of my favorite pics of Gage...he is so good with younger kids...and Abby is just the most adorable...see her BIG cast on her LITTLE leg...she's doing much better now! Yeaaa:)

Scott and Abby are the coolest:)

I love Gage's smile:)!

I also love Garret's smile:)! These two boys light up my face every time I see them!!

Now this is the way to watch a summer movie:) We actually left basically right at the beginning of this movie, but then Steve, boys and I watched it at home this past Saturday was pretty darn funny and I completely recommend it - Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2! Seriously cute:) Too bad pic is blurry:(

Some of our skies lately have been pretty cool...

...some more sky.

My red pepper plant is doing so amazingly well...2 years since Chris gave it to me...they keep turning red and then I love putting them in my salad, in my lasanga...anything!

My cherry tomato plant is on the left and the green pepper plant is on the right...I'm getting quite a few cherry tomatoes and only 2 green peppers, but there are more coming out!! 🙂

Up close and personal:) Soon to be picked!

Until next time:D

Let’s Just Love One Another…

8 Aug

So, I read a lot on the news…I really do see some good stories, but I do not like to see the sad or the angry – so, I wrote this…my uncle Dan is an English professor and in no such terms do I think this is great by his standards (love ya, Uncle Dan:), but I had to post it:)

The light of day...the dark of night...the breaking of dawn...the shedding of light...we wake...we sleep...we love...we like...a pattern of sorts...but one we must hate only brings destruction...destruction, death...a dying sow seeds of too you may

A Spattering of Summer Fun:)

5 Aug

Baby rabbits were born in our yard while we were away in FL...

This peaked Gracie's interest every day for 2 weeks straight...oh how she wanted to be able to play with them...they grew up and left as soon as they could once they realized us and the dogs (Gracie) were back:)

Pig roasts are a must in the summer! Our wonderful friends the Swope's opened up their lovely home on the lake and had a slew of friends over! Adam here is getting pig ready to serve! Yea!!! Great memories...

...of Matt in his apron LOL:D! ...of Scott who loves MI football as much as my dad which is hard to do:)

I always love the scene where the chairs overlook the water and women talk about the latest - the latest on kids, work, friends, family, well, you know...just life!

Boat activities are a must in summer...

...all type of boats:)

Fire pits are to be enjoyed...always a gathering place!

I love families getting together... getting together to play backyard games (and my hubby helping) 🙂

Now bean bag toss is always a favorite in the summer (and soon at tailgating! Yea!!) 🙂

More playing:)

I love beautiful sunsets in summer! Well, I love beautiful sunsets any season!!!

Friends, friends, friends:) Love the cowboy hat, Matt!

And more friends...interesting friends who love interesting hobbies - can I say, "Mountain Biking" 🙂

Fireworks!!! Come on now...who doesn't love the 4th?! Ok, my little Gracie loves the 4th, but not the BOOMS!

This display has always been my favorite! I always have (and still do) call them Willow trees...which in fact we had a Willow tree in our backyard growing up and that was used as a fort, a cool place to hide from the favorite tree!

Some are louder than others! BA-BOOOM!!! (That's one of my favorite words lately (shrug)...yea, I just like the sound of it especially if you emphasize the first syllable:)

You can't do summer without attending a parade...

...I've always loved the horses...

...this one had a Jeep...we love the VETERANS!!!

Cool Jeep...!

Check out the back tire on this Jeep:)

This parade had many, many tractors... tractors...

...beautiful tractors...

...newer tractor...

...older tractor...

...and a very new tractor!

I just love old cars!! My parents always took us to old car shows...loved that! Can you believe it?! I still haven't been to the Gilmore Car Museum here! I would love it I know...hey, Ma and Pa, when you're here next we'll have to check it out:)

Did I just shudder? What's THAT coming down the way?! Close your eyes!!!!...

OH KNOW!!! IT IS A SCARY CLOWN! No, no folks...clowns are not funny or cute - don't say that! They're ALL SCARY! Like I cry when I see them...even at 34 I just pointed the camera in his direction w/o directly looking...clowns NEVER NEED BE PART OF SUMMER! Sorry, Clowns...well, no I'm not sorry for that:( SEE!! Even when I tried to upload this photo my computer got scared and the pic didn't show up (honestly, for real, that is not me...that's how scary they are - they even scare computers - objects that shouldn't "feel") 😉

Hey now! This is a pleasant site for sore eyes! It's the boys:) Yes, they walked with Kris and Mike's church...lovely, sweet people go to that church:)

Like these people:)

Mike's driving the truck:) With cotton balls in his ears cause the music is so loud!

Garret pulled the wagon with the candy:)

I love gardens in the summer! This particular one is... an old church in it! I need to take pics of old churches I think - in all seasons!

Summer's not over yet!!!, but is anybody ready for some...
