Who do you wait for? Who do you put your hope in?

29 Dec

Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

The pic below is a cute depiction of what the verse describes above…spiritually, who do you wait for?  And, then, who do you wait for to come home in the physical sense?  I hope each day we wait for the Lord and put our hope in His word spiritually, and while here on earth I hope each of us never loses the excitement of seeing our spouse each night, our kids, or if physically alone, I pray those can reach back to this verse and wait for the Lord who fills any emptiness we feel from a divorce, loss of a loved one, or whatever the situation may be.

This is Russell and Amy's dog waiting for Russell to come home...I hear he does this a lot:) How cute is that?!

Finish the New Year Strong!

28 Dec

I keep telling myself I must post Christmas pics of our family, and I will, but this morning I had this on my mind…

FINISH THIS YEAR STRONG!  Each end of a year and start of a new one usually helps us see a fresh start, a new beginning, a cleaning out of old habits, starting fresh with making amends with family and friends we may have had a falling out with or any number of things…but, remember this…even if you are weary, if the obstacles just seem to keep building before you – push on – push on into this New Year knowing you are not alone…the race is won by perserverance – look ahead for the prize at the end, and while pushing on look to Jesus, the Provider of all of your needs – and I mean OF ALL THINGS YOU NEED!

Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

White As Snow…

27 Dec

The snow on the East Coast right now I know is beautiful to the children who are at home and families that can be together without traveling…for the travellors trying to get home – not so fun:(  I thought of this verse though, and I thought of this pic I took a few years back just down the road from my house at this beautiful park on West Lake, and thought this pic just illustrated what this verse is saying…how cool! 🙂  If you haven’t opened your Bible in awhile…open it!  These little verse “treasures” are every where in the Bible!

Isaiah 1:18

Merry Christmas Eve!

24 Dec

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everl
asting Father, Prince of Peace.

May each one of you have a beautiful day today! 🙂 Love, Sarah

The only true source of strength is from the Lord!

23 Dec

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

When you are physically and/or emotionally drained know that He will give you strength to make it! He really will...there's no if's, and's or but's about on Him and He will answer!
